Vermilionville's quaint 1800s setting provides a charming atmosphere for your
wedding, reception, social or other special event. Read below for additional information about our chapel, performance center and restaurant.
La Chapelle des Attakapas
Our chapel is the perfect setting for your evening wedding. Add a special touch to your night with a candlelight trail, a horse-drawn carriage or ride across Le Petit Bayou in a hand-pulled ferry. The chapel is climate-controlled and seats up to 110. We can accommodate larger crowds with standing room.
The rental hours of use include the following:
Chapel only rental - Maximum 1 hour of use $600 (Client may decorate after 4pm)
Chapel rental with reception at Vermilionville - Maximum 1 hour of use $300
Rehearsal - Prearranged - 1 hour $100 *Wedding Rehearsal times will be strictly enforced! Tardiness or utilization of the facility for more than the 1 hour allotted, will result in an additional charge of $50.
Candlelight trail - Available during Fall and Winter (weather permitting) $150
Performance Center

Take our spacious Performance Center and transform it to meet your needs. Whether you are planning a large reception, a crawfish boil or a company banquet, we are what you are looking for. Amenities include stage lights, a full-service bar, climate control and an old cypress wood dance floor. Accommodates 300.
On-site catering only. Outside food and beverages are NOT allowed. The only exceptions are professionally decorated wedding, groom, and birthdays cakes.
There is no rental charge for 4 hours of use with $3,000 minimum in food & beverage purchases before tax & service charges. Each additional hour beyond 4 hours (must be pre-arranged) will be charged at $200 per hour.

Our restaurant is perfect for your more intimate gatherings such as private parties, rehearsal dinners, small receptions and business meetings. For daytime events of 35 people or less, we recommend our glassed-in back porch overlooking the Bayou Vermilion. The full restaurant seats up to 75. On-site catering only.

AFTER 5 PM ONLY - 2 hours $700 minimum food & beverage purchases before tax and service charges apply toward rental fee

CONFERENCE ROOM
Located in lobby of Visitors Center
*seating capacity with chairs only is 36, theater style, $35 per hour (some food restrictions)
Fees/Notices
PAYMENT:
Payment of invoice is due in full one (1) week prior to the day of the event! Open-bar tabs must be secured by a credit card and paid at the end of the event.
DEPOSIT: A $500 deposit is required to secure the use of any of Vermilionville’s facilities. $400 is applied to the event balance due. $100 is refundable 20 working days after event after property is inspected for damage.
Deposit requirements do not apply to regularly scheduled weekly meetings for clubs.
REFUNDS:
(1) a full refund of $500 will be made if notification of intent to cancel is made 5 months before event,
(2) $400 if notification is given 4 months before event,
(3) $300 if notification is given 3 months prior to event,
(4) $200 if notification is given 2 months prior to the event, and
(5) $100 if notification is given 1 month prior to the event, and
(6) no refund for cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled event.
A full refund will be made if Vermilionville should have to cancel your event because of uncontrollable and/or unforeseen circumstances.
Cost for a full bar w/attendant in the restaurant or at a remote location in the festive area is $150.
Cost for a beer and/or wine only bar w/attendant in the restaurant or at a remote location in the festive area is $100.
PLEASE NOTE: Birthday, wedding & groom cakes are the ONLY food items allowed to be brought in for any event.
NO ONE, INCLUDING CLIENTS, GUESTS AND CONTRACTED OUTSIDE VENDORS MAY BRING FOOD OR BEVERAGES OF ANY KIND TO THE EVENT.
Food & Beverage totals are subject to 8% sales tax and a 18% service charge.
Listed prices and fees are subject to change. Written price quotes are honored for up to one year.
CONTRACTED OUTSIDE VENDORS
ENTERTAINMENT / DELIVERIES / PHOTOGRAPHERS
Some time/location restrictions apply to the outside vendors you may choose that will need access to Vermilionville’s property ( i.e., flower shops, bakeries, DJ services, bands, photographers, etc.) It is the client’s responsibility to have all of their contracted vendors call the Special Events Manager (337-233-4077) at least 2 weeks prior to the event to express their needs and make arrangements.
Complete privacy for your event cannot be assured until after 4:00 pm. Vermilionville’s heritage & folklife park officially closes at 4:00 pm.
